Bergamot (FCF) Bergaptene Free

Bergamot- AroMed's Citrus bergamia is Certified Organic from Southern Italy. It is steam distilled from fruit rinds, is in the rutaceae plant family, and is a top note with citrus, sweet aroma with floral undertones.

  • Bergamot is a go-to for states of mental and emotional dis-ease. Helpful anti-anxiety and antidepressant qualities.
  • Can relieve colic, flatulence and indigestion and to simulate appetite when under stress
  • Combine with lavender and tea tree for cold sores
  • Excellent addition to insomnia blends
  • Add 3 drops in 1 tablespoon of milk, and add to bath at first sign of cystitis
  • Powerful antispasmotic- very useful in blends addressing menstrual and abdominal cramping
  • Effective in skin care, particularly of an oily nature
  • Bergamot is overall relaxing, calming and restorative

Suggested Use - Spirit lifting perfume- blend 6 drops each of bergamot and grapefruit, and 4 drops ylang ylang to 1 ounce jojoba oil. apply to wrists, behind ear and dab under your nose...inhale and enjoy!

    Blends well with: Roman chamomile, citrus oils, coriander seed, cypress, geranium, jasmine, juniper, lavender, rose, sandalwood, sweet marjoram, vetiver, ylang ylang

    Modes of Application: topical- massage, compress, bath, sitz bath, skin care,direct inhalation, diffuser, steam inhalation 

    Safety data: We suggest refrigerating high limonene oils, like bergamot. Skin sensitization possible if using old and/or oxidized oils. Essential Oils are typically used externally through inhalation and topical application while properly diluted. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified aromatherapy practitioner to address a specific health need, for a specified amount of time. Keep away from children and pets.
