Spikenard, a member of the valerian plant family, can be very calming and grounding. Excellent in night time blends, particularly when you’re having difficulty quieting your mind. Spikenard can help with stress and during times of transition. It is a nice addition to blends that support aging skin, particularly with lavender. The aroma is deep, earthy, sweet, woody. The essential oil comes from the steam distilled roots from plants grown in Nepal.
Latin Name: Nardostachys jatamansi
